City says it is not conducting minimum wage survey

city-hallThe city says it is not calling people to ask questions about the minimum wage, but someone apparently is.

“KCMO residents have reported receiving phone calls that start out as a survey regarding the minimum wage issue. However, residents are then involuntarily transferred to various City Hall offices. We want residents to know that these phone calls are not from the City of Kansas City, Missouri,” the city said on its Facebook page.

“A task force appointed by the Mayor’s Office is studying this issue and recently sent out an online survey, but again, the City is not conducting any sort of telephone surveys.”
