Capitol Federal bank now open at 43rd and Main

Midtown has a new bank. Capitol Federal Savings Bank of Topeka has opened its newest branch  at 4242 Main Street.

The new 2500-square-foot building includes the following services: checking, savings, True Blue Online®, bill pay, mobile banking and mobile check deposits. It also accepts mortgage loan applications for single-family residential loans and construction loans.  The office features two drive-up lanes with video teller features, one drive-up ATM and one walk-up ATM, both open 24 hours a day.

Brian Bruns has been appointed to manage the new office, according to a press release.  He will serve a dual role as vice president-branch manager and as loan officer for Midtown.  Bruns holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Kansas, 2003, and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, 2008. Bruns also serves on the board of directors for Blue Hills Community Services and as a member of the Urban Financial Services Coalition.

“Capitol Federal is pleased to expand within the Midtown, Plaza and surrounding communities of Kansas City, MO. It truly is an exciting, active area for our 47th branch, our 4th in Missouri,” Bruns said.
