The ATA says traffic conditions are improving and delays are lessening. So all Metro service will return to regular route at 1 p.m. today. But the ATA says customers are still encouraged to avoid travel if possible, due to the extreme temperatures and unsafe road conditions.

Here’s more from the ATA:

  • Due to the frigid temperatures and delays, Metro is providing a Warming Bus at the 10th & Main MetroCenter
  • KCATA has activated Phase C of the Inclement Weather Plan for the Share-A-Fare paratransit service. Delays of over 1 hour are likely with significantly longer delays possible. Customers with non-critical trips are encouraged to cancel and re-schedule.
  • Metro bus customers can contact the Regional Call Center at (816) 221-0660 to learn where their bus is and if the snow reroute plan is in effect.  Details of the emergency snow reroute plan
  • Customers can track their buses using the ATA’s  live bus-tracking tool, WebWatch, or a mobile bus tracker
